Palm Desert · Jeff Fairfield
I clean, restore, and seal tile and stone in the valley.
My name is Jeff Fairfield, and I am the owner/operator of Clean & Seal. I have been cleaning, sealing, and restoring stone, tile/grout, overlays, pavers, concrete, and many other surfaces since 1999. I personally do all the work to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and repair. I provide solutions that will keep your surfaces looking like new long after the work is completed. From kitchens to showers, floors to walls, and private homes to commercial buildings, I am here to ensure every surface you have will always look its best.

The work
Stone, tile/grout, overlays, pavers, concrete, and many other surfaces — kitchens, showers, floors, walls, private homes, and commercial buildings.
Stone Cleaning, Polishing and Restoration
Even though stone is a hard and dense surface, it needs maintenance like anything else. Stone is porous like grout and actually absorbs what is on the surface through its microscopic pores which makes it more difficult to clean than a tile surface which is glazed. Stone is also able to be scratched by dragging furniture or appliances over it. Luckily all of these issues can be fixed with the proper cleaning and/or restoration process.
Tile and Grout Cleaning
Ceramic and porcelain tile are the most common surfaces for floors, countertops, and showers and are durable but the grout between the joints is porous and absorbs everything put on it. Most cleaning products leave a residue behind that dirt is attracted to even when the grout is sealed. My hard floor machine removes all dirt, residue, and stains from the grout, leaving a clean uniform surface that is ready to seal. It is important not to use the same cleaning products as before, and I will recommend ones that do not leave a residue.
Tile and Stone Sealing
Protect your investment with sealing the surface after it’s been cleaned. Sealing your floor is like waxing your car — unfortunately the birds still find it, but it certainly makes it easier to wash. It’s the same with your stone or grout. Sealing gives you the opportunity to wipe up spills without having it sink in to the pores of the stone or grout. It’s not bulletproof, but it certainly helps. I use a solvent-based sealer that provides excellent protection.
Tile and Grout Repair
Occasionally, I have had to replace ceramic, porcelain, or stone tiles that were cracked or damaged along with stained grout that could not be cleaned back to its original color. My thought is that a good repair should blend with the floor like nothing has been touched, and that’s what I always try to accomplish.
Overlay Cleaning, Sealing and Restoration
Concrete overlays have gotten very popular over the last few years and are a decorative way to dress up stained or damaged concrete. I am able to clean and reseal your overlay back to its original finish including crack and chip repair and match with identical colors and textures along with filling the expansion joints with a flexible sealant that looks like grout and blends with the surrounding surface.
Anti-Slip Treatments
Safety is a priority in all environments. Our anti-slip treatments enhance traction on your tile surfaces, reducing the risk of slips and falls, especially in moisture-prone areas like bathrooms and kitchens. We apply a transparent solution that creates a textured surface, making your tiles safer without altering their appearance.
